POST 8- English Language Challenges

Learning English this last time has been quite a challenge, the truth is I never learned well before being at the University, in the school where I studied they gave little importance to English and on my own account I did not study much either, that is why I entered English with very little knowledge previously, I was a little scared to face this but the truth is that the learning process It has been very entertaining and rewarding, learning something new is always very exciting.

I feel that now I can express myself better in English, I can formulate sentences, I can communicate although quite slowly, but I have advanced. I think I lack a lot of vocabulary and also hearing, I still have a hard time understanding when someone else speaks English, but it's something I'm getting familiar with little by little.

Blogs have helped me to learn vocabulary and to formulate ideas and express myself better in English, I feel that I still have a long way to go, I have heard that by talking you learn faster, I hope at some pointgo to a country where they speak English to the learning process easier.

I really like to sing and that is why I am always looking for song lyrics in English, looking for its pronunciation and so I am learning too.

POST 7- Changes to my Study Programme

Well, I am a student of Visual Arts, I am in my fourth year of my degree, I also did two years of basic arts cycle also at the University of Chile and prior to this I was studying arts pedagogy at the umce for two years, so I know very well the curriculum of a career like this.

The truth is that the curriculum seems very interesting to me of visual arts at the University of Chile since being a bachelor, is completely focused on artistic disciplines, we have six semesters of drawing, we have history of art, aesthetics, color, volume, ceramic, textile, painting, goldsmithing, experimental, engraving, etc. The truth is that the amount of workshops and their diversity, makes the race closer to each one of us and our particular interests in relation to visual art and
plastic. Regarding what subjects I think it is important to change, I think that today it would be a contribution to add elective workshops on other topics as well as for example illustration, tattoo, performance or other branches related to art who are not in the race right now.

The visual arts career lasts 5 years, I think it is too long, I also believe that one always has to continue learning about art beyond time that the degree lasts and that it is too long only in relation to learning (which is not so long for so long) we could learn much more than that we learn in those 5 years.

The faculty of arts at the University of Chile is very old, it is many years old, the building and its infrastructure is too lacking, it is not in good condition and it seems to me that the university long ago should have done something with that, since it has the necessary resources.

The teaching methods seem quite good to me, but I would dare to say who depend a lot on teachers, there are teachers who are not good at teaching and there are others really committed to our learning.

POST 6 - travel to the Future

The question to what place in the future I would like to travel seems to me very complicated since I usually think of some trip to the past, but I think it is the first time that I wonder about the future.

I think I would not, because the idea scares me, but if I had to, I would travel 100 years into the future just to be able to observe the changes without being completely disoriented since I feel that everything is changing at an incredible speed, in 20 years things change a lot, technology and communication.
So I guess if I travel beyond 100 years, I just I did not understand anything. I would rather see the changes that occur in a time frame not so long. I do not want to have children, so I do not think I would go to know my offspring, but if I would make a general observation to the humanity of those years.

Maybe what I would do is visit places that I have experiencedmy life and see what they have become. That is what I find most interesting, knowing how the world moves and in what conditions the earth and nature will also be.

Stroll, walk and observe.
